  1. Curb Appeal Enhancement:

    • The exterior is the first thing potential buyers see. Ensure it's inviting by maintaining a well-landscaped yard, adding fresh mulch or gravel to paths, and painting or cleaning the front door.  Consider placing potted plants or flowers near the entrance.  Make sure windows are squeaky clean.
  2. Deep Cleaning and Decluttering:

    • A spotless, clutter-free home is more appealing. Clean every room meticulously, including carpets, window treatments, and fixtures.
    • Declutter by removing all personal items, excessive furniture, and items that might make rooms appear crowded. A clean, open space helps buyers envision their own belongings.

    • Consider professional staging or rearrange your furniture to highlight the room's best features and flow.  It is important to point out that having your home professionally staged is money well spent, as the return on investment is greater compared to doing it yourself.
    • Add tasteful decor elements such as fresh flowers, decorative pillows, or artwork to create an inviting atmosphere.
  6. Repairs and Maintenance:

    • Fix minor issues such as leaky faucets, loose or tarnished cabinet handles, or squeaky floors. Buyers appreciate a well-maintained home.
